Legal & safety
Electronic darts is a game of skill with no payouts and does not fall under gambling law. In Vienna, skill-game machines may charge at most 2 € per game, with at most 3 machines per venue; our machines are set up accordingly. We supply the rating plate, technical documentation and conformity papers and help with the notification to the authority.
Where to play NEXTDART
Hendricks Café & Sportsbar
Bahnhof Praterstern, 1020 Wien
Vienna-Leopoldstadt, right inside Praterstern station
A café and sports bar inside Praterstern station, with the U1, U2 and S-Bahn at the door. A NEXTDART machine has stood here since July 2026 — just drop in and throw a game.
Kennys Snooker Bar
Industriestraße 5, 2201 Gerasdorf bei Wien
Lower Austria, just past the Vienna city limits
A snooker bar on the northern edge of Vienna. This is where the first NEXTDART machine went into everyday use — for a quick game in between or a whole darts night.
Frequently asked questions
- What does it cost to rent a dart machine for my venue?
- Rental starts at 180 € a month on a 12-month term, including software and updates. Maintenance and on-site service are available as a package. Alternatively, purchase from 4,800 € (plus a 45 € monthly software subscription) or revenue share with no fixed costs (initially in the Vienna area).
- How long does installing a NEXTDART machine take?
- After the site check the machine is usually in place within 1 to 2 weeks. The installation itself takes about 90 minutes, including Wi-Fi setup and a briefing for your team.
- Which hospitality businesses suit a dart machine?
- Bars, pubs, restaurants with a bar area, sports venues, darts clubs and event locations — practically any venue with about 1 × 3 m of clear space and a socket. We check suitability free of charge.
- What sets NEXTDART apart from Löwen Dart or other manufacturers?
- A 21.5″ HD touchscreen instead of a segment display, an LED board that shows targets, QR-code player profiles and our own live rankings system. We develop the software and game modes ourselves in Vienna.
- Which parts of Austria does NEXTDART service?
- We deliver and service across the whole of Austria. Our base is Vienna (1220); in and around Vienna we are usually on site within 48 hours if something goes wrong.
- Do I need internet at the location?
- For live rankings, player profiles and software updates, yes — Wi-Fi or LAN is enough. Without internet every game mode still works.
- Can I see a NEXTDART machine in person first?
- Yes, at our pilot venues: Hendricks Café & Sportsbar (Bahnhof Praterstern, 1020 Wien) and Kennys Snooker Bar (Industriestraße 5, 2201 Gerasdorf bei Wien).
