Frisbee — Clay shooting against the clock

Clay pigeon shooting on the dartboard: after a 3-2-1 countdown one to three target numbers light up yellow, and you have 3 seconds for your dart. A triple scores 3, a double 2, a single 1. Keep hitting and your hits count double from the third in a row, triple from the fifth and quadruple from the eighth. About one clay in six is golden and scores five times over.

How to play

1. Step up to the line: Before every clay the machine counts 3-2-1 and the board stays dark. The targets only light up yellow at PULL!, and a dart thrown during the countdown does not count.
2. Hit: You have 3 seconds, and every ring of a target number counts: triple 3, double 2, single 1 point. A miss or a late dart scores 0.
3. Build a streak: From the third hit in a row every hit counts double, from the fifth triple, from the eighth quadruple. A miss resets the streak; otherwise it carries over into the next round.
4. Golden pigeon: An announcement heralds it, but its field only lights up at PULL!, and for just 2 seconds. Only that field counts, five times over: single 5, double 10, triple 15, bull 5, bullseye 10.
5. Scoring: After 7 rounds of 3 clays the highest score wins. In teams the points are added up.

Tips

• The streak is your biggest lever: a safe single keeps it alive, a risky triple can cost it.
• On a golden pigeon a single is enough: 5 points times your streak beats any regular triple.
• Wait until the targets light up. A dart thrown during the countdown does not count.
